WAVE SWINGER

The main structure consists of:

• A fixed base or fixed base on basement
• A column positioned on the fixed base that rotates anticlockwise at a speed of 3 rpm
• A central basket that slides on two guideways of the column, driven by two hydraulic cylinders
• A rotating basket connected to the central one by a fifth wheel and moved independently from the column with a speed of 10.5 rpm
• A revolving platform consisting of 16 brackets firmly secured to the rotating basket, upon which seats are hung by a chain

About the seats the wave swinger is available in two different way:

• 16 adult seats + 16 children seats
• 32 adult seats

The guideways are inclined in the final section of the column, thus permitting the central basket to tilt by 15° from the vertical axis.
The two rotational movements on axes separated by a 15° inclination cause the seats to undulate.

The fixed base is available in two solutions:

• Secured to an isolated concrete footing by means of 16 hanger bolts with the overall aim of transmitting all of the structure’s induced loads to the ground (solution with isolated footing).
• With 8 internal feet resting on a concrete foundation and held in place by a system of anchor bolts and 8 stabilisers, with the overall aim of transmitting all of the structure’s induced loads to the ground (solution with feet and stabilisers).
