The venue is owned by the Nishat Group of companies, a leading business organisation in Pakistan with a presence in many major sectors including textiles, cement, banking, insurance, power generation, hotels, agriculture, dairy and paper products. It is considered to be on a par with multi-nationals operating locally in terms of the quality of its products and its management expertise.
The Fun Factory is now Pakistan’s largest amusement park and is made up of a circus themed children’s play area situated close to the food court on the second level of the building, a fantasy themed children’s area and a ‘dark city’ teen area on the third level.
With the design of all three areas being carried out by IE Park International, a total of 14 rides have been supplied to the project by IE Park. In the children’s area, the company has supplied a Convoy with five adult cabriolet model cars which can accommodate up to four adults each, a Beach Safari 2.0
with six arms and 24 seats incorporating the new jump system, and a 20- seat Mini Fantasy Swing.
For the teen area, the company has provided a mine themed Micro8 roller coaster with 14 seats, 10 adult Sports 1 bumper cars, a Mini Impactor 120° with eight seats, a 10-seat Butterfly and a 24-seat Rocking Polyp. Additionally, IE Park has installed a 12m high Star Dancer with four helicopters and four gondolas to provide a total of 32 seats in the roof garden area, along with a classic 7m diameter Carousel on Level One of the building.
